Vanhulle Dance Theatre regularly contributes to the dance programmes of many well-respected dance organisations in the UK, these include Rambert, Dance East, The Place, TripSpace, DanceXchange and Birmingham Dance Network. PROFESSIONAL CLASSES:

• VDT Pro-class with Laura Vanhulle: 28th - 2nd of December 2022

  Laura’s practice borrows from a range of floorwork disciplines, acrobatic movement, mind body practices and martial arts, whist taking influences from African and Kathak. It centres around human connection and collaboration, to create a unique and emotive physicality.

  Centring around the trunk of the body, from the head to the spine, this eclectic serpent like vocabulary, arcs, inverts, and weaves through the space with fluidity and ooze.

• VDT Pro-class with Oliver Russell: 23rd - 27th of January 2023

  Oliver’s class is driven by the interflow of contemporary dance and his 22 years of Martial Arts experience. Informed by the classical Korean art Tang Soo Do, Capoeira Floreios and drawing upon his time spent training under the instruction of 34th generation Shaolin Warriors in the Shandong Province, China. Blending martial elements with floorwork to shift the boundaries between tension and release, this class will flow and erupt as combative momentum surges out of the ground.
