OPPORTUNITIES

Out Of The Ordinary Festival Youth Dance Project with Vanhulle Dance Theatre

Back by popular demand, we’re looking for young people with an interest in dance for an exciting dance performance opportunity!

Cambridge City Council’s Cultural Services team are partnering with internationally renowned contemporary dance company, Vanhulle Dance Theatre, to bring a dance performance opportunity to young people ages 11-18 from Cambridge. No previous dance experience is necessary, and all levels are welcome to apply.

This curtain raiser performance will be performed at Out Of The Ordinary Festival this summer. This will be an outdoor performance created with Laura Vanhulle and Oliver Robert Russell to open for Vanhulle Dance Theatre’s performances of ORB.

This is a free opportunity, and young people will be provided with performance t-shirts. Travel from Trumpington Park and Ride will also be provided on the performance day if required.

Monday 18 August - Friday 22 August: Rehearsals at Clay Farm Centre, CB2 9FN

Saturday 23 August: Performances at Out Of The Ordinary Festival, Cambridge

We will either run full day rehearsals with one large group, or half day rehearsals with two separate groups depending on number of applications. This will be communicated after the closing date but please keep full days free in the interim.

To participate, you must be able to commit to the performance day and at least four of the five rehearsal days.
