DOVETAIL

Dovetail is an eclectic duet mixing Breakin’, Martial Arts and highly physical contemporary movement. Dovetail brings together the creative talents of the award winning Choreographer Mickael Riviere, VDT Co-Artistic Directors Laura Vanhulle and Oliver Robert Russell, and Domenico Angarano one of the UK’s leading musical composers.

YIN

Drawing inspiration from the life-producing powers of yin and yang, captivating choreography, heartfelt vocals, piano and sound design awaken the senses and allow us to cross over into other worlds.

Tap into the balance of energy, embrace the emotion and think about how social ideals shape us all.

Alive with physical energy… ‘yin’s’ finesse lies within its atmosphere; it invites you in…

Quietly opening to the sound of a singing bowl, live music and contemporary dance synchronise and an all-female cast dynamically capture the concept of yin, compassionately expressing the endurance and powers all women are born with.

ECHO

‘Echo’ creates a world of optical illusion on stage, the space between reality and fantasy.

‘Echo’ choreographed and performed by Artistic Director Laura Vanhulle and music composed Nick Peil. This hypnotic solo performance creates a world of optical illusion on stage, exploring the space between reality and fantasy, and the connections between dance and the written word as an author attempts to re-connect to his writing. Performed successfully to large audiences at Birmingham Weekender and The Lighthouse, audiences of all ages are drawn in by the energy and physical versatility of the artist.
